In an interview with Sky Sports, Marotta discussed Inter Milan's Champions League draw results.
Speaking about the Champions League, Marotta said: "The charm and excitement are still there. For me, this is the 13th or 14th consecutive year, and for Inter Milan, it's the 9th. In Italy, we are the team that has participated in the Champions League the most times during this period, which is very proud. We will also meet Mourinho and return to the Bernabéu Stadium. There are many exciting things to do."
When asked whether Inter Milan was taking the "English route," Marotta said, "This was a decision made after careful evaluation by the entire technical team, including ourselves, Ausilio, Bachin, and Chivu. Putting aside the English identity, the most important thing is their resumes: these players have all won 27 to 28 games in their careers, which is always an extra advantage for the dressing room."
Regarding the relationship between UEFA and FIFA, Marotta stated: "The Italian Football Federation's statement is the result of a consensus reached by all parties: it is a path determined by the president of the federation with the common approval of everyone."
